False Brother began as the solo recording project of Ian Flowers in early 2016 and later developed into a full band by the end of the same year. Along with early 1980’s darkwave and punk, False Brother draws upon contemporary social crises and cultural decline as a primary channel of inspiration in order to construct a soundscape unique to our current phase of global dissolution. Following the release of their first self titled cassette, False Brother has gained fans performing their brooding and spacious post-punk in their hometown of Kansas City and throughout the greater Midwest as well.
